This is my second such experience with Gardener White.
The worst after sale service ever. Recently bought a white leather sofa and center table. Had a wonderful customer service from the sales person.
Very unhappy with the financing on my furniture. Purchased my furniture on October and was not instructed on how my billing promo would be. I'll admit fault to forgetting the month of my promo ending, but I offered to pay the rest of my full amount as long as they could look past being half a month over promo. On top of that paid the rest of my amount on day it was due minus the promo interest and the system said it will take a day for me to get credit for the payment and that charged me 37 late fee and interest on the amount before the payment. The biggest issue I have is they only make you aware of your promo by billing statement and not email or text. This isn't 1950 anymore make use of your technology. The care person I spoke with said that I had a 3 day Grace period for my promo in case I forgot and also stated they don't email or text you because it's not the best way to communicate with you. How does that help me if I don't know it's ending. I work in a sales environment myself and I know my company sends reminder alerts that your lease is ending soon through text and email and billing statement. It all just seems like a shady operation that hopes you forget about a payment and will not work with you after no matter what the reason is. The furniture is about a 2.5 out of 5 rating nothing amazing not worth buying here again for more than just the finance issue.
Unfortunately the sofa shipped to us was of inferior quality with some damage. Talked to the customer service to replace or return it. They wanted &150 to exchange and did not agree to return since it is more than 7 days after the sale.
I bought the Winchester Sofa in the beginning of May. I was considering other options, but ultimately chose the Winchester because our salesperson assured us that this couch would last years and would stand up to the demands of children. A mere 6 months later, this couch looks like garbage. Honestly. The cushions are lumpy and one of my cushions burst a seam. I am normally an Art Van customer, but we fell in love with how this couch looked, and it was supposed to last us a long time: 5-10 years according to our salesperson. I am now regretting my purchase because of the quality of the couch. I have tried to get in contact with this store multiple times to see what can be done about my situation (and have proof of the condition of the couch). However, no one has even acknowledged my issue. I am very displeased with the quality of Gardner White's furniture and service. I feel like I have wasted my money and time. We are currently using hand-me-down furniture from my in-laws while our brand-new couch remains unusable. This is unacceptable. Please don't waste your time and money shopping at Gardner White. Even with faulty furniture, they will not do anything.
Please beware that you get what you paid for and if there is an issue call them within 24 hours after receiving the shipment.
I read a lot of sketchy reviews after I ordered my furniture, but honestly, I had no issues. My salesman (Brandon) was pretty cool to work with, honestly between he and my friend I think we all had a little fun. Got a great deal on the furniture for my house. I would recommend it. Got a hand written thank you note and 5 free pizza vouchers too, so that's pretty neat.
I know that even Michigan law allows a return of faulty products until up to 30 days after the purchase.
We've been coming here for years. My whole family only deals with one man he's the best and wouldn't have anyone else. Boris is great you need anything go to him
